Frequently Asked Questions
What Does a Session Look Like?
I can’t tell you exactly what the journey will look like for you, but I can tell you this—it will change your relationship to yourself, your body, and your life. I’ve walked it, and I’m here to guide you.
Every session is as unique as the individual. Trauma and chronic stress affect each person differently, so your healing journey is tailored specifically to you - guided by your body’s needs and your nervous system’s readiness.
No two sessions are the same. Some begin in stillness. Some with movement. What remains consistent is the intention: to return you to safety, connection, and embodiment.
Our work together focuses on reconnecting with your body, rebuilding trust in its wisdom, and rediscovering your innate capacity for healing. Whether you're recovering from stress, processing trauma, or stepping into integration work, sessions are tailored to meet you where you are—and support where you're going.
What Are the Different Ways to Work With You?
I offer three core ways to work together, each designed to meet different phases of your healing journey:
Somatic Recovery Sessions: These sessions are focused on restoring balance and regulation in your body. If you're feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected from your body’s wisdom, this session is for you. We’ll use movement, breathwork, and somatic techniques to release trapped energy and create safety in your body, grounding you in the present moment. Somatic Recovery is ideal if you’re new to this work or dealing with symptoms like anxiety, panic, or chronic stress.
Somatic Integration Sessions: This is for those ready to go beyond managing symptoms and explore deeper emotional patterns, shift old habits, and embody lasting change. These sessions are about bringing awareness into the body and living your healing through action, expression, and presence. You’ll begin living more fully in alignment with your true self. If you're looking to step into your full expression and break free from unconscious patterns, this is your next step.
3-Month Guidance Program: the most comprehensive, transformative option. This mentorship is for those committed to lasting change and ready to dive deep into healing and integration. Over three months, we’ll explore the root causes of your challenges, address stored trauma and unconscious blocks, and integrate practices to create sustainable transformation.
Ongoing Support and Personalized Guidance: We’ll meet 1:1 each week, diving deeper into your personal experiences and creating a roadmap for your transformation. You’ll receive consistent support as you process your journey, identify and address the underlying beliefs and patterns holding you back, and integrate new somatic practices that fit your unique needs.
Somatic Recovery & Release: In the early stages of the program, we’ll focus on somatic recovery to release stored trauma, tension, and emotional blocks. This involves movement, breathwork, and other somatic tools to help regulate your nervous system, bring you back to your body, and create safety.
Somatic Integration & Embodiment: As we progress, the focus shifts to somatic integration, where we’ll help you process and embody the shifts you’ve made. You’ll learn how to integrate the healing into your daily life, allowing you to live in alignment with your true essence. This involves developing new patterns, grounding your insights, and expanding your capacity for leadership, creativity, and authentic expression.
A Deep, Lasting Transformation: Unlike single sessions, the 3-month program allows for sustained, ongoing transformation. It’s for those who are ready to fully commit to their healing process, supported by a clear, structured method that integrates both recovery and embodiment at every step.
Which Session Should I Choose?
Somatic Recovery is for you if you are new to this work or currently dealing with symptoms like anxiety, panic, or overwhelming stress and your main focus is to find immediate relief. It focuses on regulating your nervous system and releasing stuck trauma/stress energy from your body.
Somatic Integration is best for you if you want to go deeper and get to the root cause while uncovering patterns and unconscious beliefs keeping you stuck. This is about embodying your transformation and living in alignment with your true self. Even if you are new this work, somatic integration is for you if you want to go beyond symptom management.
3-Month Guidance/Mentorship is ideal if you’re ready for deeper, personalized support. This program is for those who want one-on-one mentorship to help you step fully into your leadership and embrace your transformation at a deeper level.
If Somatic Integration Sessions are the bridge between survival and embodiment, Reclaim You is the full journey.
Integration work supports you as you begin to live your healing—bringing your awareness into your actions, your voice, your choices.
But Reclaim You goes further. It offers the structure, depth, and continuity required for transformation that doesn’t just shift how you feel—but how you exist.
It’s not just about regulating or even expressing.
It’s about rewriting your patterns, restoring your power, and reclaiming your body as a place you want to live in again.
Still unsure? You can always reach out to ask, or begin with a single session and see how it feels.
Which offering is right for me?
If you're unsure, consider where you are on your healing journey:
Feeling overwhelmed, anxious or stuck and need help regulating your nervous system? Start with Somatic Recovery.
Feeling ready to go deeper to begin healing at the root and integrate healing into daily life? Somatic Integration may be your next step.
Feeling called to go all-in to liberate yourself fully from patterns, beliefs, and nervous system responses that are keeping you disconnected and want to feel supported every step of the way? Reclaim You offers the structure and support for radical transformation.
A Holistic, Empowering Approach
I am deeply passionate about empowering you to reconnect with your strengths and live with confidence, purpose, and freedom. Through a holistic approach that addresses the body, mind, and spirit, we will explore and release trauma at its root.
Every session is tailored to you—because no two bodies, histories, or healing journeys are the same.
The work might include:
Somatic Experiencing™ – Tracking body sensations to process unresolved trauma.
Breath Training – Repatterning dysfunctional breathing to restore regulation.
Strength-Based Practices – Using physical movement to shift out of immobility.
Expressive Arts & Movement – Following bodily impulses to access emotion and expression.
Self-Defense & Boundary Work – Practicing embodied safety and empowerment.
Family Constellations – Unwinding ancestral patterns that shape your present.
Each session is a collaboration—guided by a deep respect for your unique needs, your pace, and your readiness.
Is this therapy?
Yes and no.
This is therapeutic work—deeply healing, body-centered, and transformative. It may feel like therapy, but it doesn’t fit inside the clinical model.
I chose not to pursue licensure because I believe in decolonizing therapy and offering care that isn’t confined by traditional systems. That choice gives me the freedom to design sessions that meet real people in real life—whether that means breathwork, movement, storytelling, or even skydiving.
So while I’m not a licensed therapist and do not offer clinical mental health treatment, this work absolutely supports emotional healing, trauma integration, and nervous system repair in ways that are often missing from conventional therapy. Many of my clients work with a therapist and see me as part of their support team.
Is this coaching?
Also no. This work is body-first. It’s not about performance, productivity, or pushing you to meet goals. It’s about helping you come home to your body, rebuild trust in yourself, and move at a pace that honors your nervous system.
What if I’ve never done somatic work before?
That’s completely okay. Many people begin this work after trying other healing paths that felt incomplete. If you're new, we’ll go slow. Your body sets the pace.
Do you work in-person or virtually?
Right now, I offer sessions virtually and outdoors (hike sessions). In-person office sessions are currently paused as I transition spaces.
Whether we're on Zoom or walking a trail, the work stays the same: present, attuned, and embodied.
I still have questions.
Great. Reach out. You’re allowed to ask. This work begins with curiosity and conversation.
Notes from clients
“Thank you for a powerful session yesterday! I wanted to check in with you about how the breathing exercise is going... Last night I actually experienced joy. I have very infrequently been able to access joy for a long time. I tried the exercise again this morning, and knowing the propensity to not just be with myself and be comforted by it, I intentionally did that and then went for a walk and I am feeling really good today so far. Thank you for helping me and all you do to bring goodness and healing into the world. Blessings”
“My anxiety has dropped, I’d like to feel it’s thanks to all the tools you’ve given me. I wouldn’t be where I’m at now without all our time together and all your guidance. I love you Julie”
