Hi, my name Julie Fernandez.

I’m a Trauma Recovery Specialist who's here to help you feel safe in your body, comfortable in your own skin and the world, and embodied, integrated and whole.

My compassionate approach centers on recognizing the strength within ourselves and shedding the judgements, guilt and shame that arise from unresolved traumas. Some of the conditions I work with include Complex, Developmental and Shock Traumas, Anxiety, Depression, Dissociative Disorders, as well as Eating Disorders.

I do this work because I’ve also experienced the cycle of trauma, from early experiences of sexual abuse to later unhealthy and abusive relationships, creating cycles of depression, anxiety and eating disorders.

This drove me to help other people heal from trauma and assault, and I’ve worked in domestic violence shelters, rape and sexual assault crisis centers, eating disorder and mental health clinics, as well as inner-city schools, with at-risk teenage girls and disadvantaged youth.

By listening to, and befriending my own body, I’ve been able to transform through my own life experiences.

After living my life completely dissociated, I’m fully present, and where before my mind used to scream in resistance to what my body wanted or needed, now the internal conflict is gone.

I’m comfortable, embodied, happy, strong and powerful. I feel like I have a place in this world, and my feet belong on this Earth. I have a voice that needs to speak, where before I was afraid to be heard.

I’ve found my power and strength, and also reclaimed my softness and femininity.

It’s My Mission

To empower others to discover their natural capacity to heal, integrating body, mind and spirit to find wholeness, peace and power.

I believe that we have this innate power to heal. We are innately resilient and through our conditioning, we’re made to believe otherwise.

Human beings are born with an innate capacity to triumph over trauma. The healing process can be a catalyst for profound awakening —a portal opening to emotional and genuine spiritual transformation.

As individuals, families, communities, and even nations, we have the capacity to learn how to heal and prevent much of the damage done by trauma. In so doing, we will significantly increase our ability to achieve both our individual and collective dreams.
